Cookie policy
The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Below is the full list of what we store in your browser.
Informational translation of version 1.1 of the Polish document (effective from 20 November 2026). The Polish version is binding.
1. Legal basis
Storing information on your device and reading it is governed by Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024. Consent is not required where storage is necessary to provide a service you have requested (Article 399(3)(2)). We use, without consent and within the scope permitted by that provision, mechanisms for logging in, securing forms and remembering a choice you have made (theme, a decision not to show a window). The other marker described below (sb-nl-shown) is not used for identification or tracking; we describe its nature in the table, and you may block its storage in your browser settings. The site shows no consent banner because it uses no analytics or advertising tools.
If we add analytics or other non-essential tools in the future, we will ask for consent before activating them and update this policy.
2. The substraty.pl and feedstockdata.com sites (compendium, BMP database, calculator, directory)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-theme |
browser storage (localStorage) | remembers the light or dark theme you selected — stored only after you click the switch | until you delete it |
sb-nl-off-until |
browser storage (localStorage) | remembers your decision: a timestamp until which the newsletter sign-up window is not shown — stored only after you choose “Don’t show for 30 days” (30 days) or after you subscribe to the newsletter (365 days); it contains no e-mail address or identifier, does not mean an active subscription and is not used to determine consent status (status comes solely from the newsletter database, also after unsubscribing) | 30 or 365 days from storage (then ignored), until you delete it |
sb-nl-shown |
session storage (sessionStorage) | records that the newsletter sign-up window has already been shown in this session (at most once per session) — it limits the window’s nuisance, is not necessary for the site to work and is not used for identification; you may block its storage (the window may then appear again) | until you close the tab or browser window |
The site sets no cookies, but it stores some information in browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) as in the table above. The feedstockdata.com site (language versions) applies the same rules: it uses no analytics or advertising cookies, and the list above also covers that domain to the extent it uses the mechanisms listed. The newsletter sign-up window (articles and BMP substrate pages on substraty.pl) appears on some page views after scrolling or after several dozen seconds; it does not track the user, and its markers serve only to avoid showing it again against your choice. In addition:
- The co-digestion calculator keeps the data you enter only in the page address (URL parameters), so that you can copy a link to the result. Nothing goes into browser storage or to our server.
- Search and filters download data files from our server and keep their state in the page address.
- Company profile statistics — on profile pages in the directory the browser sends an HTTP request to the panel (IP address, browser header) in order to record a view or a click on contact details — without cookies and identifiers; the server stores only daily totals and processes the IP address in working memory for up to 30 minutes (see the Privacy policy).
- OpenStreetMap in a company profile loads only after you click “Load map” (a frame from openstreetmap.org, without passing the referring page address). From that moment OpenStreetMap may use its own mechanisms in accordance with its privacy policy (osmfoundation.org).
- Fonts, icons and scripts are served from our own server — without external CDNs, analytics tools or advertising pixels.
3. Client panel (substraty.pl/panel/)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__Secure-sb_panel |
session cookie | keeps you logged in (random identifier; only its hash is stored in the database) | until logout, at most 14 days | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, path /panel |
sb_pre |
signed cookie | protects forms against CSRF attacks before login | 2 hours | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict, path /panel |
sb_flash |
signed cookie | one-time message after an action (e.g. “Saved”) | 60 seconds | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, path /panel |
sb-theme |
localStorage | light or dark theme (shared with the site) | until you delete it | — |
Without the necessary cookies you cannot log in to the panel.
4. Online payments
When you choose to pay online, you are taken to the operator’s page — tpay.com (secure.tpay.com; Krajowy Integrator Płatności S.A.). The operator uses its own cookies, among other things to prevent fraud and carry out payments, in accordance with its privacy and cookie policy (available on tpay.com). We have no access to them or to the data they contain. We do not offer online payments through other operators.
5. How to manage them
You give or withdraw consent to storing information on your device (where required) through your browser settings (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — in the privacy and site data section) or by deleting site data. You can delete cookies and site data (including sb-theme, sb-nl-off-until and sb-nl-shown) in your browser settings and block their storage (Article 399(2) of the Electronic Communications Law). Blocking the panel’s cookies will make it impossible to log in; other functions of the site will keep working.
